Welcome to The Belvoir Brewery, Sample Cellar, Exhibition and Visitor Centre

About the Belvoir Brewery & Sample Cellar

Welcome to The Sample Cellar, a purpose-built brewery and visitor centre in the heart of England. The Sample Cellar incorporating The Belvoir Brewery (pronounced 'beaver') was originally set up in 1995 by Colin Brown, who previously brewed with Shipstone and Theakston. The brewery and visitor centre is situated on the outskirts of Old Dalby, Leicestershire in the picturesque Vale of Belvoir.

The Sample Cellar has a friendly atmosphere - old fashioned bar billiards table, seating at the bar to sample our fine food and drink. High chair available for the little one upon request!

We can cater for groups large and small, our function room caters for up to 80 people for meals and drink and brewery tours or that special occasion - not to forget our Christmas Parties.

The original brewery saw the introduction of a 20 barrel plant that could produce 50 barrels a week, and now this purpose-built brewery and visitor centre will enable us to increase production whilst giving people an insight into the brewing process and the history of brewing.

We currently supply up to 150 outlets direct with permanent featured Belvoir beers and regular rotating guest beers. The brewery is also associated with The Sugar Loaf free house in AB Kettleby which also features our Belvoir and guest beers.
