Established in 1995 by Colin Brown, Belvoir Brewery began life just outside of Old Dalby, Leicestershire. Colin, having worked at T&R Theakston and James Shipstone & Son, used his experience to start brewing one of the founding beers Beaver Bitter. The equipment used was gathered from traditional cask ale breweries all over the country, as well as the unique artefacts that are on display.
Belvoir Brewery continued to brew and supply local pubs and shops until 2007 when Colin Brown joined forces with Dianne Login to form Belvoir Brewery as we know it today. What used to be MOD land was sold off to form Old Dalby Industrial estates and where we stand today used to be a car park. We are in a purpose built building, which accommodates the brewery, visitor attraction centre and restaurant.
Currently, we supply over 275 pubs in a 50 mile radius, although some of these may be guest ales where we only supply one 9 per year. We also supply local shops and our local Tesco with our Melton Red. You can also find us in Tesco’s finest food range with Steak and Beaver Ale Pie and Melton Red Sausages. We are proud of our journey so far and would love for you to join us along the way.
