New Fermenter Arrives At Brewery

20/11/2015

We’re happy to announce the new fermenter arrived from Germany this week and is currently being prepared for its debut brew on Monday 23rd.

Colin Brown (Owner, MD, and Master Brewer) had the honour of carefully maneuvering the fermenter into the brewery and despite the limited room available carried out the task with aplomb, showing his all-round skills from years of experience working in the industry.

Expert German manufactures Moeschle were given the task of building this essential new addition to the brewery, having provided us in the past with fermenters and a mash tun which have all proved to be of the very highest quality…which of course is no surprise having been made in Germany!

The fermenter will give the brewery an additional brew of 15-16 barrels and will be mainly used for specialist and guest brews, including the festive beers (more news next week).

This will probably be the last fermenter we can squeeze in, but plans are afoot for extensions following to the increasing demand for our beers. Brewery assistant George said “These are exciting times for the brewery and its great to be involved and see all our hard work is paying off. The new fermenter will give us the essential extra capacity we need, and I for one can’t wait to try a few pints of our festive beers, especially the eagerly anticipated ‘New Beers Resolution’, which should hopefully assist me in various ways on New Years Eve and ease us all nicely into 2016…”.

News of the fermenter’s debut and the festive beers will follow next week.

Cheers
