New Fermenter Debuts With Festive Beer

We pleased to confirm that our new fermenter is now up and running and was put through its paces on Monday. Despite on-going work with the wooden panels, the fermenter was put straight into action and used to house our first festive brew ‘Good Elf’, which will be racked on Monday 30th.

Thanks to many, many years of brewing experience, especially in dealing with fermenters, it didn’t take Colin (Owner, MD, & Master Brewer) long to complete the necessary pipework and get it primed for use.

The 4.7% Golden Fruity Beer is available to buy now so get your orders in and start off December as you mean to carry on…or at least until our second festive beer, ‘New Beer’s Resolution’ is available.

The tasting sessions for the 4.2% ‘New Beer’s Resolution’ took place last Friday and after an enjoyable but tense half an hour or so, all were in agreement on the final recipe. This Dark Winter Ale with Hints of Spiced Winter Berries will be perfect over the festive period, and absolutely ideal for the run up to 2016.

Despite all the festive excitement, brewer Sean wasn’t getting carried away. “It’s not even December yet, so it’s a little early to start all the celebrations…however, it’s great to get the new fermenter into action, and we’re all really looking forward to racking both festive beers and shipping them out to our loyal customers, and hopefully many new ones, to enjoy. The next few weeks will be busy for all, but we think these two beers will be perfect to keep spirits high”.
